Salade à visière, dans le style allemand vers 1500, XIXe siècle. A visored sallet, in the German style of circa 1500, 19th century. Of russet steel, with broad skull of one piece and rough from the hammer, arched face-opening, studed with lining rivets, fitted with neck-guard of three fluted lames, pivoted large visor slightly convex over the front, pierced with a pair of slotted breathes and a pair of slotted sights all with embossed flanged edges, and closed by a spring-catch on the right. H: 26.3 cm - L: 30 cm - W.: 24.4 cm - Wt.: 2810 g. Sallets of this type are attributed both to Nuremberg and Landshut.
