It was at Gallimard's house at the very young Nouvelle Revue française that Roger Martin du Gard published his novel Jean Barois, which allowed him to make friends with André Gide. These notes, published shortly after the death of the author of Les Nourritures terrestres, evoke one of the most enriching literary encounters.
