RESTIF DE LA BRETONNE, Nicolas Edme.
Autograph draft Circa 1790. 2 pages on an in-8 sheet (27 x 157 mm) brown ink on blue paper, many deletions and corrections. The text features the character of Dulis and his meeting with two young female seamstress apprentices. Dulis is one of the pseudonyms used by Restif in Les Posthumes and La Prévention nationale. Extremely rare autograph manuscript of Restif de La Bretonne (unpublished?) It covers in its entirety a fragment of a sheet of paper that Restif, reduced to a state of extreme poverty, manufactured and dried at home, as he describes it in Monsieur Nicolas.
