VIAN, Boris.
Vercoquin and plankton. Paris, Gallimard, 1946. In-8, paperback, printed cover. First edition in press service of Boris Vian's first book, from which no major paper has been printed. Published in the collection La plume au vent directed by Raymond Queneau. Copy offered by the author to the writer Gérard Frasson: "For Mr. Gérard / the pillar of the Scorpions / Boris Vian". It was in the editions of Le Scorpion that Boris Vian met Gérard Frasson, friend of Blaise Cendrars, a kind of real Vernon Sullivan, author of Rien ne va plus and Bluffs, both published in 1949. Very beautiful copy preserved as published, it remained uncut. Of any rarity in this condition. Small stitches on the cover.
