GIACOMETTI, Alberto.
Paris without end. Paris, Tériade, 1969. In-4 of 150 lithographs in black, non-text, double-sided; in sheets, under white cover filled and printed, folder and publisher's canvas cases. Lust 204 - 353. Original edition. Edition at 270 copies. One of the 250 copies on Arches Vellum, with the stamp of Giacometti's signature on the colophon (No. 202). Copy enriched with an ex-dono of Diego Giacometti in ink on the first sheet: "Dominique 27 November 1971/Diego". Alberto Giacometti's graphic will and his most richly illustrated book. These lithographs, created between 1958 and 1965, reflect Giacometti's daily life in Paris: his studio and the surrounding streets, the Tériade office, Place Saint-Sulpice and the cafés he liked to visit. They were printed by the artist, but the book was not published until after his death, accompanied by notes taken by him for a text he never completed.
