H_38,5 cm W_17 cm This ceramic is the first of the "vases with high handles" made by Picasso, who will make a variant in 1953 (see Ramié 213). On a white background, the artist has drawn an anthropomorphic vase decorated in different shades of grey, which can vary very strongly according to the different specimens. It is clearly a female figure, her head encircled by a crown of flowers, her breasts decorated with shining suns.
