A dining table with two extending tables by Pierre Guariche in elm veneer and black lacquered metal made by Meubles TV Pierre Bergé et les années 1950 du n° 24 au n° 180
Collectionneur invétéréréré, Pierre Bergé was able to show us the avant-gardism of his vision of the decorative arts, following the example of the 1925 period, in which he was, with Yves Saint-Laurent, one of the first to take a renewed interest in the mid-1970s.
Pierre Bergé, an eternal precursor, naturally turned, some twenty years ago, to post-war creations. It is with the help of his friend and collector Marc Gusils that Pierre Bergé will share the taste of this common passion.
They will have been struck by the ever present modernity for this industrial language inherent to furniture now qualified as design.
Transmission and sharing were values dear to Pierre Bergé, and it is his taste and passion for collecting that we find here once again.
The lots presented in the catalogue are sold as is.
