(white), 32 ff.n.ch.; fawn calf, triple cold fillet framing the plates, gilt iron in the center of the plates representing an arm holding a branch surmounted by a bird, corner fleurons, spine ribbed, two-part title piece handwritten on vellum (contemporary Parisian binding). Rare bilingual Latin and Greek edition in the translation of Marsile Ficin. Very carefully printed by Michel Vascosan, it is illustrated with numerous woodcut initials. USTC only locates 9 institutional copies, none of which are in the United States. A fine copy from the famous library of Marcus Fugger (1529-1597), a great patron, humanist and bibliophile. His monogrammed signature in brown ink can be found on the first back cover. Binding skillfully restored. Other provenance: Konstantin Karafeodor (ex-libris). Rare edition, carefully printed in Frankfurt by Peter Brubach. The 8 introductory leaves are printed in red and black, the last leaf bears his printer's mark depicting a two-headed head. No copies in the USA according to USTC.
