DANTE ALIGHIERI.
L'amoroso convivio, con la additione, et molti suoi notandi, accuramente revisto et emendato. Venice, Marco Sessa, 1531. In-8 (153 x 93 mm) of 8 ff.n.ch., 112 ff.ch.; brown calf, spine ribbed and decorated, with jagged edges (17th century binding). Fourth edition of Dante's philosophical allegory in autobiographical form. This edition has a title with a beautiful woodcut frame illustrating putti, dragons, and the mark of the printer Sessa (a cat with a mouse). Small restorations to the binding, otherwise a fine copy. Provenance: Philippe Desportes (signature at the bottom of the title) - Doctor Lucien-Graux (ex-libris, sale II, lot 27: "excellent and rare edition") - Robert Jeanne Percheron (ex-libris). Adams, D-119; EDIT 16, 1161; Mambelli, Edizioni Dantesche 803; Sander, Dante Alighieri 2331.
