Composed by Sainte-Beuve, it praises Marceline Desbordes-Valmore in its preface and places her among the greatest poets. This last collection of poems, before the posthumous collection of 1860, contains: Idylls, Elegies, Romances, Contes, Pleurs et pauvres fleurs, as well as Aux petits enfants, nearly two hundred pieces. A fine copy, with, as a bookmark, a pretty canivet of the period showing a heart from which a flower springs. Carteret, I, 212.
