At the end of his life, Braque wanted to give a third dimension to his painting. He approached Heger de Löwenfeld, a true aristocrat and master lapidary, to create pieces that would become, for Malraux, "Braque's Apotheosis". Their collaboration began in 1961.
Glaucos 1er is a work created by Baron de Löwenfeld in 1963 and stolen in Nîmes in 1970. In 1971, to avenge Glaucos,
