At the top, the coat of arms under a bishop's headgear, of Pope Benedict XIII on the left Gone, in 1 : banded Gules and Argent, on the chief of the second, charged with a rose Gules, and resting on a divisor Or, charged with an eel wavy in fess Azure and in 2 : Azure a tower Argent masoned Sable on a plain Vert, on a chief Sable on a mount Argent, a bear rampant Argent gorged and crowned Or surmounted by a mullet Argent in chief and Bishop Prospero Lambertini, future Pope Benedict XIV on the right Or three pale Gules. Italy, circa 1724 Height: 36.1 cm - Diameter: 22.2 cm (some leather accidents) Benedict XIII (1649-1730) of his first name Peter Francis Orsini, was pope from 1724 to 1730 and consecrated Propero Lorenzo Lambertini (1675-1758) bishop on 16 July 1724 and then cardinal on 9 December 1726. Lambertini in turn became pope in 1740.
