Paul Signac A disciple of Georges Seurat who was influenced by the Impressionism of Claude Monet, Paul Signac (1863-1935) established himself as a ferryman of modernity at the end of the 19th century. After Seurat's death, it was he who took the reins of neo-impressionism. His influence is expressed in the Salon des Indépendants, of which he was the historic president until his death in 1935. Signac's work is abundant, marked by his discovery of the light of the South and his move to Saint-Tropez.
