First edition of Louis Aragon's translation, the first French one. Famous book edited by Nancy Cunard at the Hours Press she had founded shortly before. "By choosing this text, Aragon values a surrealist before the letter, as well as an English author, who speaks the same language as the beloved" (F. Mahot Boudias). One of the first 10 copies on Japan paper (nº IV), signed by the translator. A copy in the publisher's ornate hardback with minor traces of use. "...for the Snark was a Boojum you see..."
