In-12 : green morocco, smooth spine, boards decorated with a geometrical pattern of intertwining gilt fillets and mosaic red calf scrolls, untrimmed, gilt head, cover and spine retained (R. & R. Mativet). First edition. Limited edition of 800 copies: one of 750 on Rives vellum, unjustified. Poignant signed autograph on the first blank page: To Louis Aragon Louis Aragon in a basket strangling his mother torturing his sister burning his father Suddenly the handle of the basket sang Did you see the bottles of the waterfall Did you touch the brains of the oak Hello Benjamin Péret October 1, 1925 Four years later, Benjamin Péret and Louis Aragon composed together 1929, the famous collection of erotic poems illustrated with Man Ray's photographs, published clandestinely in Brussels. Péret was one of the most critical after Aragon's break with the surrealist group. A nice copy in spite of the slightly browned spine.
