Letters and photographs. 1958-1970. Set of documents gathered in a box by J. Mercier. Rich set of documents concerning the artist's work, including letters and photographs. Detail : - Autograph correspondence with Lo Duca, director at Jean-Jacques Pauvert of the International Library of Erotology and of the Dictionary of Sexology, in which appear several reproductions of Clovis's paintings Trouille, as well as Jean-Marc Campagne's catalogue dedicated to the artist. In all 18 autograph letters and postcards signed (1964 -1970). An autograph letter signed on December 15, 1958 addressed to Galtier Boissière concerning a biography of Trouille is attached. - 35 original black and white photographs of his paintings taken by Clovis Trouille and captioned on the back, including the famous Mes funérailles, accompanied by an original erotic photograph of the period (circa 1920) which served as a model for the very sensual female posterior in front of his coffin. The catalogue of his exhibition at the Galerie Raymond Cordier in March 1963, the monograph dedicated to Clovis Trouille by J.-M. Campagne, published by Pauvert in 1965, and a book on symbolist art published in Leipzig in 1905 which served as documentation for the painter.
