JEAN CONTE (1830-1888). Set of manuscripts, some autographed, relating " La fiancée d'Abydos " " Acis et Galatée ", complete cantata in scores for orchestra and voice, signed (" J.Conte"), "Rondeau d'Oreste", as well as a vast collection of sketches, corrected versions, instrumental parts and printed music, with three manuscript booklets; "Bilboquet ou le voyage en Zig-zag", "Paimpol et Perinette", "La belle aux cheveux d'or" and also a whole set of dances, without place or date. Jean Conte (1830-1888) was a friend of Offenbach's, a composer, violinist and music educator. He won the Prix de Rome in 1855 with his cantata Acis et Galaté.
