With a new commentary by M. Amar. Paris, Lefebvre, 1821. Four volumes large in-8, contemporary bindings in long-grained red morocco, on the boards a set of gilt fillets with corner fleurons framing a large plate pushed to cold with a rhombus-rectangle decoration, with a four-lobed reserve imbricated in the central rhombus, spines richly ornamented with a repeated palette gilt in the cathedral style, inner lace, gilt edges (Thouvenin). Portrait of Boileau engraved by Lignon after Rigaud and 6 figures by Desenne engraved on steel for the Lutrin. Copy on large vellum paper. Imposing high relief plate bindings by Thouvenin. Some freckling to the figures. From the Bernard Lolliée library (Bibliothèque R. et B.L., I, 2011, n° 63). Label of the Dalibon library in the Palais Royal.
