Paris, at the offices of Journal, January 1912-August 1914. 79 issues forming 4 volumes in-8 (235 x 157 mm) illustrated with 186 engraved and stenciled plates (numbered from 1 to 184, plus 2 without number in issues 22 and 58). In sheets, each issue with its original printed cover, the first 3 years preserved in the publisher's boards, the last one unbound. Colas, 1567. One of 1250 copies on Hollande. Exceptional complete collection of the 79 issues of this charming publication. The set is decorated with 186 copper-engraved and finely hand-watercoloured out-of-text figures after George Barbier, Léon Bakst, Bernard Boutet de Monvel, Umberto Brunelleschi, Étienne Drian, Marie- Madeleine Franc-Nohain, Paul Iribe, Pierre Legrain, Charles Martin, Fernand Simeon, Armand Vallee and Gerda Wegener, among others. The chronicles are signed by Robert de Montesquiou, Robert de Flers, Marcelle Tinayre, René Boylesve. There are also poems by Jean Cocteau, Anna de Noailles, Lucie Delarue-Mardrus. This is a complete copy of the advertisements for the luxury houses inserted in each issue. There are also two menus organized at the Laru restaurant (inserted in issues 52 and 57) as well as a sample of a marbled fabric from Mouly & Schulz (issue 64). The printed titles for each volume are also present. Copy in very good condition.
