Ivory vellum, smooth back, red edges (20th century binding). New edition. Boureau-Deslandes (1689-1757), scientist and philosopher, was born in Pondicherry. His important Histoire de la philosophie earned him recognition among philosophers and many of his articles were included in the Encyclopédie. Some pages slightly browned.
