Amsterdam, Marc Michel Rey, 1769. In-12 (158 x 97 mm) of 4 ff.n.ch., 279 pp. Porphyry calf, triple gilt fillet, smooth spine decorated in the grotesque style, spotted edges (contemporary binding). Quérard, VII, 170. First edition. Pilati de Tassulo (1733-1802) was a jurist and judge in Trentino, then professor of law at the Lyceum of Trent. His Project of a reform in Italy was translated by J. Manzon. Quérard mentions a preface by the translator of 24 pp. which is missing here ("it is missing in many copies"). A beautifully bound copy. Title-piece skilfully renewed, minor restorations to the spines and headpieces.
