First edition of this important Byzantine grammar, which Renouard identifies as a "learned Opuscule." "Important Byzantine grammatical text, the second in Robert Estienne's program of printing important unpublished Greek texts from manuscripts in the Royal Library" (Schreiber). "At the very beginning of his [Henri Estienne's] adult life he had before his eyes the example of the remarkable output of editiones principes that marked Robert's last years in Paris: the ecclesiastical history of Eusebius in June 1544, followed by two more works of his shortly afterwards; the De Ratione of the Byzantine grammarian Moschopoulos in December 1545; the Antiquitates romanae and many of the opuscula of Dionysios of Halicarnassus in early 1547..."
