RARE SERIES OF 12 HARD PORCELAIN PLATES, with polychrome decoration featuring actors and actresses, singers, dancers and famous dancers under the Empire in their main role, according to engravings of the time, surrounded by a wide gold fillet captioned with their name, the marli decorated with gold and blue duck fillets, and a frieze of rosettes alternating with stylized N evoking the figure of the Emperor Napoleon. On the back a handwritten legend relating their role or a short biography. Manufacture parisienne, without mark, end of the Empire period, circa 1815. D_23 cm Actors and captions : - Mr La Vigne.
