Important philosophical and literary essay by Walter Benjamin (1892-1940), it marks a date in the avant-garde literature of the 1920s in Germany. It was translated into French under the title Sens Unique. It is the only literary work published during the author's lifetime. The cover is illustrated with a photographic montage by Sasha Stone; layout and typography are inspired by Bauhaus and constructivist aesthetics. Copy in good condition. Small chips and tears to the cover. Small brown stain in the margin of about ten pages.
