First edition: it is decorated with two photographs in frontispiece, a portrait of
Sacher-Masoch and a second one showing him in company of Fanny Pistor.
Autograph letter signed on the title page, addressed to the novelist Madeleine Chapsal:

Enclosed two autograph letters signed by the author addressed to her. On January 22, 1964, he reports his enthusiasm at the reading of Madeleine Chapsal's interviews.
On November 30, 1968, while convalescing, he complained of going in circles, wishing to "write new things and in a different way."
