Paris, Éditions de Minuit, [1967]. In-8 [227 x 140] with a frontispiece, 275 pp : paperback, in a burgundy morocco spine folder and slipcase by Devauchelle. First edition: it is decorated with two photographs in frontispiece, a portrait of Sacher-Masoch and a second one showing him in company of Fanny Pistor. Autograph letter signed on the title page, addressed to the novelist Madeleine Chapsal: For Madeleine, // in recognition, // and how much friendship, // GD, // March 1967 Enclosed two autograph letters signed by the author addressed to her. On January 22, 1964, he reports his enthusiasm at the reading of Madeleine Chapsal's interviews. On November 30, 1968, while convalescing, he complained of going in circles, wishing to "write new things and in a different way." Several passages underlined.
