In-4 [241 x 185] of (164) ff. : blue morocco with bradel, boards covered with a plexiglass plate decorated with a collage of 4 playing cards representing the 4 ladies, and a reproduction of the statue of the Victory of Samothrace, covered by a yellow and blue stencil revealing the 5 disordered letters of the name of the author, smooth spine decorated with the name of the author and the title in blue and yellow letters, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, spine folder and bands with blue morocco cover, case (D.-H. Mercher 1991). First edition: one of 900 copies on stained vellum (n° 258). First "collage novel" by Max Ernst published the year of his participation in L'Âge d'or, the film by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí: it includes 140 plates in black. Spine and edges of the first plate of the cover insolated, as almost always.
