First edition of this "peplum novel", a kind of historical reconstruction and painting of the depravity of Roman morals at the time of Emperor Claudius. Copy on edition paper in modern binding. The false title and the title come from another copy. The false title bears a precious autograph letter signed : To Cl. Debussy // his admirer // Alfred Jarry Back cover damaged, with missing parts, and restored.
