In-8 [223 x 142] of 92 pp, (2) ff : dark brown box, boards covered with irregular vertical pieces of wooden paper of two different colors, smooth spine, gilt head, cover and spine preserved, case (P. L. Martin). First edition, not put in the market and published under the veil of anonymity. It is illustrated with 15 woodcuts, one of which is on the title page, repeated on the cover. Sometimes attributed to Jean Cocteau, the compositions are by the Russian painter Elie Grekoff, who settled in Paris in 1929. Limited edition of 150 numbered copies on vélin pur fil du Marais. The author's copy, bearing the letter A, not listed in the justification: it is enriched with a suite of 15 woodcuts in sanguine, 5 unused woodcuts, as well as an autograph fragment. Autograph notes signed at the head : My copy // M. J.
