The Guest of the Dead. In our synagogue. The Sword. New Lamps. Texts translated by Marthe Robert. Paris, Presses du livre français, [1948]. In-8 [249 x 160] of 28 pp, (2 ff.), 4 plates: bound in stained calf, stamped with a plate, and decorated with gold leaves and semis of squares, smooth spine, light green nubuck lining and endpapers, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved, spine folder and cover bands of stained calf decorated with gold leaves, slipcase (Louise Bescond 2012 - G. Ribal) First French edition of these four texts translated by Marthe Robert. Limited edition of 270 copies. His printmaking was very brief, lasting only six years (1945-1951). The friendship of Sartre, Paulhan, Artaud and Marthe Robert offered him the opportunity to associate their texts with his creation. One of the 100 copies on paper of Montval (n° 51), second paper after 20 on Vidalon. Remarkable decorated binding by Louise Bescond, executed for Pierre Bergé.
