In-12 [182 x 116] of 208 pp, (3) ff, the last one blank, 8 pp. of cat. bradel half white vellum with corners, smooth spine decorated with gilt foliage, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine kept (Huser). First edition, dedicated to Henri de Régnier. Copy of the first issue, with the cover and the title at the address of the rue de l'Echaudé- Saint-Germain. Autograph signed on the false-title : to Monsieur Remy de Gourmont, // great exciter of ideas, // sincere homage, // P. Léautaud. Léautaud met Remy de Gourmont for the first time in 1894. It was through him that he became a theater critic for the Mercure de France in 1907. Beautiful copy bound by Huser: the gilt decoration of the spine is particularly pleasant. The copy is complete with the Mercure de France catalog at the end. Browned leaves. Provenance: Hubert Heilbronn, with bookplate.
