The Sabbath. Memories of a stormy youth. Paris, Éditions Corrêa, 1946. Fort in-12 [185 x 115] of 443 pp, (2) ff. the last one blank : purple jansenist morocco, smooth spine, grey velvet lining and endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine preserved, folder, slipcase (J.P Miguet) First edition. Maurice Sachs (1906-1945) confesses the drifts of a troubled life, in the frenzy of the Roaring Twenties. The posthumous work was a scandal due to the fact that the man who was once secretary to Jean Cocteau and André Gide implicated contemporaries who were still alive. One of the first 6 numbered copies on Johannot vellum (nº 2), the only large paper with 35 Alfa Navarre. A superb copy, perfectly established by Miguet.
