Collection of 60 silver photographs by Victor Grandpierre, mounted on Bristol, each illustrating a poem by Louise de Vilmorin whose autograph is reproduced in facsimile at the foot. The objects were chosen and photographed by the decorator and antique dealer Victor Grandpierre: candy boxes, porcelain objects, bottles, statuettes, etc. Autograph lettering signed on each of the two justification sheets mounted on the back cover of the publisher's cases: To my // dear Elisabeth // with all the heart of // her friend // Lulette // Verrières // Christmas 1947 [volume 1] To // Elisabeth [volume 2] Elisabeth de Breteuil (1904-1962), a close friend of Louise de Vilmorin, had married the Russian pianist George Chavchavadzé.
