Complete works of J. De Maistre. New edition, containing his posthumous works and all his unpublished correspondence. Lyon, Vitte et Perrussel. 1884 - 1886. Fourteen volumes in-8, contemporary bindings in green half-chagrin (light brown for the first two volumes), green percaline boards (eggplant for the first two volumes) decorated with framing of cold filets with gilt supralibris in the center, spines decorated with cold filets and a gilt fleuron in each box, spotted edges. First complete edition of the works of Joseph de Maistre. Copy offered as a prize for excellence in 1890 by the Collegium Sanctae Mariae (label glued to the back cover of volumes I, VI, VII, IX, XII and XIII and supralibris gilt on the first boards of the volumes). Volumes I and II in identical bindings but of a different color and decorated with a different finial on the spines. Without the table volume published separately in 1887 to be offered to subscribers.
