MEISSEN (in the style) Porcelain covered oval snuffbox with polychrome decoration of Chinese in the Horöldt style in reserves surrounded by Böttger lustre, polychrome foliage and gold scrolls. The underside is decorated with Chinese figures in purple monochrome. Marked: crossed swords in blue on the inside. Mounted in 750 thousandths yellow gold, without hallmark. 19th century.
