The Makhila cane is a traditional stick often associated with Basque culture. Its name comes from the Basque "makila", meaning "stick" or "cane". It was used as a walking stick, but also sometimes as a defensive weapon.
It was also sometimes used in ceremonies and rituals, and is seen as an emblem of Basque tradition.
