Pair of high-backed armchairs in molded, carved and gilded wood. They feature scrolled armrests, supported by brackets decorated with acanthus leaves and sunflowers. The rectangular belt rests on fluted and ringed sheath legs, joined by an H-shaped brace embellished with a sunflower in the center. They are covered in full, antique "jardinière" velvet with a motif of flowers and foliage on a cream background, edged with domed studs and highlighted with passementerie embellished with pompons. Paris. Louis XIV period H_113 D_67.5 L_48 cm Slight accidents and wear to the velvet. Restorations and redone parts to the belts. Expert: Stephane Pepe
