Exceptional fine silk Istanbuli (Asia Minor, Turkey) circa 1975. Velvet, silk warp, weft and fringe. Good overall condition. Density of approx. 10,000 knots per dm2. Ivory field with scrolls of polychrome stylized palmettes of flowers and foliage, framing a large central medallion of bluish-gray and old gold starry flowers. Four spandrels echo the central medallion. Triple border, the main one in gilded beige with finely drawn floral bulbs. 235 x 164 cm Expert: Mr Frank KASSAPIAN
