Beautiful "star" box in violet wood, ivory, ebony and mother-of-pearl, opening with a lid and a secret drawer. Attributed to Christoph ANGERMAIR (1580-1633) Augsburg. First half of the 17th century. H_ 21 cm W_ 28,5cm D_ 21 cm This chest is adorned with characteristic inlays produced by the cabinetmaker Christoph ANGERMAIR, whose coin cabinet in the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum in Munich features similar decorations.
