Diplômé en 1998, il a entamé un séjour de deux ans comme illustrateur chez Lucas Learning Ltd. En 2000, Dice a travaillé comme artiste pour le développement visuel aux studios Blue Sky. Il Y restera jusqu'en 2007 avant de rejoindre Pixar Animation Studios ou il travaille actuellement. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Dice moved to New York in 1993 where he enrolled at the School of Visual Arts. After being graduated in 1998, he began a two year stint as a staff illustrator at Lucas Learning Ltd (see Lucasfilm). In 2000, Dice was employed as a visual development/color key artist for Blue Sky Studios where he stayed until 2007 when he then joined Pixar Animation Studios at his current role.
