Dague « à oreilles » de style espagnol fin XVe - début XVIe siècle, XIXe siècle. A Spanish "ear" dagger, in late 15th-early 16th century style, 19th century. With sharply tapering double-edged blade formed with a flat ricasso, the sides of characteristic unequal length, iron hilt formed with a block-like guard of compressed octagonal section encircled by a medial groove, fitted with a pair of iron fillets over the sides of the blade-tang, each extending to a form of concave spoon-like ear, the outer face of each filled with a bone disc retained by an iron rectangular washer impaled by a short pyramidal spike, the sides fitted with a pair of shaped bone grip-scales, and in "aged" condition throughout.
