ARISTOTE
In hoc opere contenta: In politica Aristotelis introductio: adiecto commentario declarata. Oeconomicon Xenophontis: a Raphaele Volaterano traductum. Paris, Henri Estienne, 31 mars 1511. Grand in-4 (280 x 197 mm) de 36 ff.ch., 6 ff.n.ch., 172 ff.ch. Veau moderne. Renouard, Estienne, 9:2 ; Schreiber, 10. “When Thomas More wrote of Lefèvre that he was the restorer and rebuilder of true dialectic, true philosophy, essentially the philosophy of Aristotle, he was expressing the opinion commonly held in his day, that Lefèvre's greatest contribution to humanism was his attempt to recover the precise and true meaning of Aristotelian philosophy; Lefèvre accomplished this by writing new commentaries” (Schreiber). Kraus (ex-libris).
