H. Two frontispieces on Chine appliqué, engraved on steel and two vignettes engraved on wood, by Louis Boulanger. Envoi from Victor Hugo to his friend Gaspard de Pons, on the false title " à mon bon et cher Gaspard Victor ". The count Gaspard de Pons (1798-1860) poet and military, participated to the Spanish expedition, was introduced to Victor Hugo by Alfred de Vigny, collaborated to the Conservateur littéraire.
