In-8 (178 x 104 mm) of 36 ff.n.ch (including the title in a beautiful woodcut frame, and the white leaf u2), 728 pp., 22 ff.n.ch., large folding table; morocco olive, triple gilt fillet framing, spine with ornate nerves, roulette on the cups, gilt edges (18th century binding). First edition of this famous antipapist diatribe. The large folding table bears the title ? Analytical and typical table representing the body of this antechrist's research or hunting of the Roman beste ? Traces of light-coloured wetness at the beginning, small tears of the table formerly restored, slightly yellowed. Very good copy bound in olive morocco. Provenance: Bruyeres Chalabre (name on the guard, sale of the library in May 1833, lot 198). The Marquis de Chalabre (1785-1832) was an informed bibliophile, and was friends with the great collectors of the time, Pixerecourt, Nodier, the Bibliophile Jacob, and the Marquis de Ganay.
