Rectangular CIGARETTY STUDIO in gilt vermeil 88 zolotniks (916 thousandths) and 750 thousandths gold, entirely decorated with translucent sky blue enamel on a guilloché background of radiating bands, the gold borders chiselled with a foliated frieze, the lid opening hinged by a push-button set with diamond roses. The interior, later transformed by Cartier, contains a mirror and a powder case. Traces of use and lacks in the enamel. Saint Petersburg, 1908-1917. Goldsmith: Feodor AFANASIEV for the Fabergé House.
