It contains the account of the eruption of Vesuvius in 1737 and the geological and ecological repercussions. A complete copy of the large statistical table with readings on the quality of the air between May and June 1737, as well as of its 2 beautiful engraved plates, entitled Le Vésuve vu du palais du roi, and Le mont Vésuve coupé par son sommet.
