"The following pages contain sporting reminiscences of fifteen years spent in one of the wildest and most out-of-the-way places in India [the North Cachar Hills]" (preface). Some foxing, small stains to the binding. Provenance: Forêt de Crécy (bookplate). Jean Lebaudy (1894-1969) Industrialist, member of the Bibliophiles françois, passionate about Africa, Jean Lebaudy organized several hunting trips and studies in Africa between 1927 and 1938, including the Lebaudy-Griaule mission between November 1938 and May 1939. After the war, he created the Black Buffalo camp on the banks of the Benue in northern Cameroon. It is his collection of books on hunting that is offered today.
