Beige percale, top board decorated with a polychrome illustration of a member of the Mashukulumbwe tribe, smooth spine, decorative paper endpapers imitating an African cloth (publisher's binding). First edition, with an introduction by Carl Hagenbeck, founder of the famous Hamburg Zoological Garden. Contains the accounts of the journeys made between 1891 and 1909 by the passionate hunter Hans Schomburgk. Cover very slightly dusty, otherwise a fine copy, well preserved. Provenance: Forêt de Crécy (bookplate).
