Renouard, 134:6; Schreiber, 178; Adams, D-482. First edition printed by Henri Estienne and the first with his important notes and additions. The edition also includes 3 pages of annotations by Willem Canter concerning the Pythagorean fragments. "Estienne's very important edition of the Lives of the Philosophers by Diogenes Laertius, in which appear for the first time many passages discovered in manuscripts by Estienne. It is quite unusual to find complete copies; the Latin translation, with separate pagination, is often lacking" (Schreiber). One plate detached.
