Journalist and writer, Robert de Saint Jean (1901-1987) was the companion of Julien Green.
The remarkable edition of the complete Diary of Julien Green, given by Guillaume Fau in 2019 according to the autograph manuscripts acquired by the Bibliothèque nationale de France, underlines the central role he played in the life of the American writer.
